Head of Growth (Phased Role)

Overview

Building a child-safe AI learning platform

JurneeGo is building a child-safe AI learning platform designed to help children explore curiosity while enabling parents and teachers to remain engaged in the learning journey.

Unlike traditional AI tools, JurneeGo is built around Shared Session Architecture (SSA), which allows children to interact with AI while parents and teachers maintain meaningful oversight and guidance.

We are currently in the product build and validation phase, preparing for a beta launch and early market testing in Vietnam before scaling globally.

To support this stage, we are opening a phased Head of Growth role that begins as a project-based engagement and can evolve into a full-time leadership position as the product and growth engine mature.

Role structure

A role that evolves with the product

This role is designed to evolve alongside the product lifecycle, across three phases.

Phase 1 — Pre-Beta Growth Project

Focus: Build and validate the early growth engine.

Responsibilities may include:

Define target segments and messaging

Identify who JurneeGo is for and how the product is positioned to them.

Design the beta waitlist funnel

Build the path from interest to a qualified, activation-ready waitlist.

Prepare influencer and community outreach

Lay the groundwork for influencer and community-driven acquisition.

Test early acquisition channels

Run early experiments to find channels that work and discard those that don't.

Coordinate teacher and school onboarding

Help educators and schools join and get value from early sessions.

Work with product and engineering on activation

Partner with product and engineering to improve activation flows.

Estimated commitment: ~10–15 hours per week.

Goal of this phase: validate growth hypotheses, build the early acquisition framework, and prepare for beta launch.

Phase 2 — Beta Activation

Focus: Optimize activation, retention, and early monetization signals.

Responsibilities may include:

Manage influencer and community campaigns

Run the campaigns that bring new families into beta.

Refine onboarding and activation flows

Improve the first-run experience so more families reach value.

Develop referral loops

Build mechanics that turn happy families into new ones.

Expand school partnerships

Grow the network of teachers and schools using JurneeGo.

Analyze CAC, activation, and retention metrics

Track the numbers that show whether growth is working.

Collaborate with engineering on growth experiments

Work with engineering to refine and ship growth experiments.

Estimated commitment: ~20–25 hours per week during beta testing.

Goal of this phase: demonstrate product-market signals, validate the acquisition model, and prepare for scaled growth.

Phase 3 — Full-Time Head of Growth

Focus: Lead JurneeGo's growth organization.

Once beta signals are validated, the role may transition into a full-time Head of Growth position responsible for:

Parent acquisition strategy (B2C)

Own how JurneeGo reaches and wins families directly.

Teacher and school adoption strategy (B2B2C)

Drive adoption through educators and institutions.

Influencer and community ecosystem

Build and lead the influencer and community engine.

Growth analytics and experimentation

Own the measurement and experimentation practice.

Marketing team development

Hire, build, and lead the marketing team.

Expansion into additional markets

Lead growth beyond Vietnam into new markets.

This phase aligns with the company's planned go-to-market launch in early 2027.

Key growth metrics

Repeatable, disciplined acquisition

Success in this role will be measured through signals such as the following. The goal is not vanity growth, but repeatable, disciplined acquisition.

Qualified waitlist growth

Growth in a waitlist of families genuinely ready to activate.

Activation rate of new families

The share of new families who reach a meaningful first experience.

Retention and engagement

Patterns showing families keep coming back and stay engaged.

Beta-to-paid conversion

How effectively beta users convert into paying families.

Customer acquisition cost (CAC)

The efficiency of capital spent to acquire each customer.

School and teacher adoption

How broadly educators and institutions take up JurneeGo.

What we are looking for

Strategy plus hands-on experimentation

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following. We value candidates who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on experimentation, particularly during early-stage product validation.

Growth strategy in early-stage technology companies

You've built growth where there isn't yet a playbook.

Consumer SaaS or EdTech growth

Experience growing consumer software or education products.

Influencer and community-driven acquisition

You've grown audiences through influencers and communities.

Product-led growth and activation funnels

You know how to make the product itself drive acquisition.

Data-driven experimentation and CAC optimization

You run disciplined experiments and optimize acquisition cost.

Early-stage companies must balance strategic vision, disciplined experimentation, and efficient use of capital.

This phased role allows the right person to shape the growth engine from the ground up, while ensuring the company scales its team in alignment with real traction.

If successful, this position will grow into a leadership role responsible for guiding JurneeGo's expansion beyond Vietnam.
